Terms of service

Plain language on purpose. We would rather you understand this than be impressed by it.

The short version
  • You keep every right to your footage and to the clips we make from it.
  • Only upload material you have the right to upload.
  • A failed job is never charged.
  • Cancel whenever; you keep the period you paid for.

1 · Who we are

ViggeClips is a service operated from Sweden ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2 · What the service does

You submit video. We analyse it, select moments, and produce shorter clips with captions and mastered audio. Selection is automated and based on measured signals. We describe those signals openly in our engine documentation.

We do not promise any particular viewership, engagement or commercial outcome from clips produced by the service. Our "hype score" is a measurement of the source material, not a prediction of performance, and nothing on this site should be read as such.

3 · Your content stays yours

You retain all rights in the material you upload and in the clips produced from it. We claim no ownership.

You grant us a limited licence to store, process, transcode and analyse your material for the sole purpose of delivering the service to you. That licence ends when the material is deleted. We do not use your content to train models.

4 · What you must not upload

You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to everything you submit. Do not upload:

  • Material you do not own or have permission to process — including other creators' streams, films, or broadcasts.
  • Recordings of people who have not consented to being recorded, where consent is required.
  • Content that is illegal, depicts abuse, or is created to harass someone.
  • Someone else's voice for a voice profile without their consent.

We may refuse or remove a job that appears to breach this, and may suspend accounts that do so repeatedly. We are not obliged to monitor uploads, and refusing one job does not mean we have reviewed any other.

5 · Automated content filtering

The service declines to produce clips from passages its safety rules flag. This is automated, deliberately cautious, and may occasionally exclude a moment you consider acceptable. It is a feature, not a fault, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement about what you publish. You remain responsible for everything you post.

6 · Credits, billing and refunds

  • One credit covers one hour of submitted source material, rounded up to the minute.
  • Credits are deducted on successful completion, never on submission. A job that fails costs nothing.
  • Monthly plan allowances reset each billing period. Separately purchased top-up credits do not expire.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where applicable.

As a consumer in the EU you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Because the service is delivered digitally and immediately, that right lapses for credits you have already spent. Unused credits within 14 days are refundable on request.

If our service demonstrably failed — a job we charged for produced nothing usable — tell us and we will refund the credit. We would rather do that than argue.

7 · Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We currently operate from a single region with a single render cluster, so we offer no uptime SLA. We will not pretend otherwise to close a sale.

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you are paying for, we will refund the unused portion.

8 · Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service; resell access without agreement; or use automated means to create multiple free accounts. The free tier is one hour per person, not one hour per email address.

9 · Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue, lost followers, or the consequences of publishing a clip. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

10 · Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will explain why unless prevented by law. On termination your footage, clips and voice profiles are deleted; invoices are retained as accounting law requires.

11 · Changes to these terms

We will email you at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, cancel and we will refund the unused portion.

12 · Law and disputes

Swedish law applies. Disputes go to the Swedish courts. If you are a consumer, this does not remove your right to bring a claim where you live, or to approach the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).

Status
  • ViggeClips is live on its free tier and takes no payments yet. These terms describe the intended agreement and will be reviewed by a Swedish lawyer before we charge anyone. Do not rely on them as a finished contract.
